We had a WONDERFUL first visit! I went with my three young children and the staff took such great care of us. My older children were very nervous and the staff was so welcoming and accommodating. I also had one of the best experiences as a patient. Very pleased with the service and quality of care. The facility is also very beautiful and child friendly. Dr Pawlus was extremely knowledgeable about oral health and I learned so much during my first visit!

After spending tens of thousands on dental implants a few years ago in Texas, I was having issues with some of them.. they were infected. I was so depressed thinking they had to be removed. Dr. Pawlus and Team quickly got me in in time and treated them and found that luckily the bone was dense, and due to the care and disinfecting treatments he did, I got to keep them. After my dentist of nearly 20 years retired, I found Dr. Pawlus and his team and I couldn't be happier. I just had my 4th routine cleaning and I'm still very impressed. All 4 hygentists were gentle and personable. Always smiling, welcoming, and thorough. America is such a joy. She shines through the phone and at the front desk. 10/16/24 Because I’ve had a lot of health issues, I CANNOT ask for a better Dentist and his staff members. They have been so patient working with me. Dr. Pawlus wanted to make sure that my lower implants denture and upper dentures fit me properly and comfortable. I’m so proud of my dentist, he has NEVER once tried to rush me out and move onto the next patient. Dr. Pawlus made sure he used the correct and best implants because he truly does want to make sure you walk out of his office with the best smile you could possibly ever have. So please, if you’re reading this PLEASE give Dr. Pawlus the benefit of doubt and give him the chance to prove that your smile will be worth all your bucks. 5/29/24 Here it is one year later. Because of my healing condition, Dr. Pawlus and his staff have been extremely patient, loving and caring towards me and haven’t given up on me. In fact, if it wasn’t for Dr. Pawlus I wouldn’t have known about my healing condition. So I know he is a blessing to me. They just hired a new member and they’ve done a great job hiring him (Chuy). Chuy has been working with me and all I can say is that his momma raised one well manor son (his sister works there as well and she’s amazing). Oh yeah, not only does Chuy have a great personality, he’s ONE FINE LOOKING young man. 😉😊😋 (sorry ladies, he’s already spoken for). Everyone that works at Pawlus Dental are well trained, professional and lots of fun to be around. I promise you’ll LOVE them. 5/22/23 I’ve always had a phobia of all dentists till I met Dr. Pawlus. Naturally I always pray before going in to meet the dentist but this ONE time I walked in with peace and comfort. All the dentist before Dr. Pawlus I had to be put out. However, with Dr. Pawlus there was peace and calmness. They gave me some medication to relax me instead of putting me out and done some major work on my mouth. What’s even more amazing is that I was so comfortable I actually watched most of what they were doing. Yes I’m am very sore and having some difficulties but it’s in Gods hand and Dr. Pawlus hands. I’m praising God for leading Dr. Pawlus and his phenomenal staff members too help me. Oh yes, Dr. Pawlus has a beautiful therapy dog too. I just love these guys. The staff at Pawlus Dental is so awesome. I broke a tooth off of my partial plate and it had to be sent to Indianapolis for repair. The staff knew how embarrassed I was without my teeth so they overnighted the partial to Indy in order to get it back as soon as possible. I received a call from a staff member on Friday who had to go to the office for a plumbing issue they were experiencing. She told me my partial had came in and asked if I would like to come pick it up. She waited 30 minutes for me on her day off just so I could have my partial back!!!!!!!! The whole process was completed in 3 days! What a great team effort.

The dentist was friendly and explained everything involved in a tooth lmplant as I had one of my front tooth broke off at the gum line and i was very concerned about the future of my teeth. After the staff took all the necessary x-rays and Dr.John G. Paulus looked everything over and come up with my best options for restoring my front tooth with a implant. I was impressed with him so I said I want to move forward on treatment and as soon as possible and to my surprise i was set up for a appointment the very day. I had that tooth pulled and was lucky enough to get a insert that day and was happy about that. He was very professional and skillful and I felt at ease so now I'm waiting on that area to heal and looking forward to future visits. I highly recommend this dentist and the staff. I drove from a different town to go to him and very glad I made that decision !

My intake paperwork included a questionnaire offering choice of drink, TV/movie, and option of Bose head phones with music. I was first seen by the hygienist, Brook. Very friendly, professional, and thorough. Impressed with the technology used and the personal knowledge of Brook. Brook was also very gentle! No discomfort at any moment. Next, Dr. Pawlus came in introducing himself and said, “call me John”. This a small thing that is huge making the visit have a personal and comfortable atmosphere. He was also kind, professional and knowledgeable with expertise. They had TVs playing in the room with one on the wall and one on the ceiling. Atmosphere was awesome! Very relaxing. Staff was nice and friendly and upbeat from start to finish. Receptionist finished me up. I received a goodie bag! She then said she would be happy to email my treatment plan so my visit wouldn’t be any longer than it was. I received a treatment plan in a timely manner. This is a wonderful place to get your dental needs addressed. Dr. Pawlus is great and generally a minimalist, and the staff could even be accused of being too friendly. I even used to run into Dr. Pawlus at the gym. Today, however, I was rather taken aback by attempts to shove yet another dental x-ray down my throat. While the medical rationale can be made, it is not necessary for patients with good dental condition to get x-rays every year. It's just overkill and unnecessary, and patients should have a choice unless the doctor has legitimate concern based on history or habits. Preventative treatment is just that. I already previously had x-rays done there and requested to postpone till my next visit, but I wouldn't get a cleaning unless I accepted more x-rays. I suspect insurance companies are partly to blame. I couldn't get past the analogy that x-rays are the same as eating a banana - from the manager. Just because the insurance companies will pay for it is not a fair reason. The ADA has published guidelines for prescribing dental radiographs, and to deny basic cleaning without a substantive reason is incorrect. That said, it's a lovely place, and go there if you don't mind x-rays every time you visit regardless of your history or habits. And they have a really cool water fountain.

I have "Dental anxiety" that is off the charts due to some very bad past experiences at other dentists. I carefully chose the next dentist I would see after waiting several years to build up the courage!! My experience with my initial appointment with Dr. Pawlus and his staff went beyond my expectations. All of the girls that helped me were kind, patient and understanding, and I felt they had all the time in the world to work with me. When I met Dr. Pawlus, I felt the same way. I didn't feel he was rushed...he spent enough time with me to understand my issues, and to also explain thoroughly what my dental plan would be. He came up with a plan that felt right to me, and has already gone a long way to alleviate my anxiety. At this point, I would be 100% confident to refer a friend or family member to this practice. I truly can't say enough good things about my first appointment!

Wow, I was truly impressed by my new patient/cleaning appointment at Pawlus Dental. Everybody was super nice and friendly, the office looks amazing, everything is up to date, huge TVs not only on the walls in each room, but also on the ceilings! Both the hygienist and Dr. Pawlus took their time during the exam and answered any questions I had. I can recommend Pawlus Dental to anyone who is afraid of the dentist, I believe I will be in good hands. UPDATE: I was informed after my teeth cleaning that I had a couple of surface cavities on one tooth. I am extremely scared of any dental procedures and probably would have put off getting it fixed for a while, causing greater damage. Not only was Pawlus Dental able to offer me an appointment with 30 minutes of my cleaning, but also the use it their laser instead of numbing and drilling. I walked out of the office after 30 minutes with two cavities filled, no numbness and no pain!! Fanatic!!! I would recommend Dr Pawlus to everybody, especially people with a fear of dentists!!

I regret not having gone to Pawlus dental sooner while living in Columbus for 5 years. I decided to try it out after a recommendation from a coworker during casual conversation, and it is absolutely worth the switch from my previous dentist. Even though the main reason I'm going to the dentist is to take care of my teeth (I'm not the type to get particularly impressed by looks if that's not what I'm looking for in the first place), I was actually surprised how the little details spread around the office made the "dentist" experience quite inviting, and made me almost forget I was there to actually get my regular teeth cleaning! A waterfall mounted on the wall makes it feel like you're entering a spa (let that sink in...). Complimentary coffee and water. You go into your procedure and see the typical wall TV screen to keep you entertained, knowing that as soon as the chair reclines, that's essentially useless... and to your surprise.. TV on the ceiling! The little details... smart. That being said, the dental care is the most important thing here, and in that matter, Pawlus dental delivers. I had a very good experience, Chelsie made the cleaning experience painless and rather enjoyable with some interesting conversation (to which I unfortunately couldn't always answer... bummer). And Dr. Pawlus came and explained with great clarity and honesty my status, and any recommended next steps without any pressure on making decisions. I'm looking forward to my next visit to the spa... I mean... dentist.

Truly Amazing, One metallic filling removed and replaced. Three additional fillings. All without local anesthetic using the Solea CO2 Laser. Excellent Staff from cleaning to procedure completion. I have received numerous treatments at this office and all have exceeded my expectations. Most recently I received 2 fillings and instead of the traditional numbing and drilling prior to these fillings. Dr. Pawlus performed the procedure with the laser. I always get great care here.
